The centre of competence SimBAU together with IWM offers its partners all services related to the application of numerical simulation. The services range from consulting in component and material related issues over the execution of simulation tasks up to the development of new material models for particular problems.

An example for the latter is the improvement of constitutive models used for the simulation of metal forming and springback. This provides an essential pre-requisite for the implementation of lightweight concepts into the automotive industry by substituting traditional materials with new lightweight materials(high-strength steel, aluminium, magnesium).
