    Material models

For a wide spectrum of classical materials such as steel and aluminum up to new adaptive composite materials mathematical models for the deformation and damage behaviour are developed and implemented into modern simulation software. Computer simulated models gain more and more importance for the virtual product development. They save time and costs by materials development, by the optimization of manufacturing steps and by components evaluation.

Material models are available for: For the characterization of material behavior the IWM has outstanding
experimental equipment.
